Esme and Elinor are best friends enjoying their summer together. They are one-of-a-kind dolls sculpted from Cernit, a polymer clay. They sit 30” wide by 18” tall by 20” deep.

Esme’s eyes are brown hand-blown glass. I made her wig using dark brown mohair locks. Her face and limbs are painted with Genesis paints. Elinor is made the same way with blue eyes and blonde mohair.

Esme’s dress is sewn with silk eyelet and silk organza with vintage hand crocheted lace on her neckline and a vintage velvet sash that is tied in the back. Her underskirt is silk. Her bloomers are a stretch lace. Esme holds a straw hat that is tied with vintage velvet ribbon and adorned with a vintage spray of velvet flowers. I added a felt backing to the hat to protect her skirt. Her hat can also be worn on her head.

Elinor’s dress is sewn with fine lace and silk organza. Her underskirts are silk and a mesh embroidery. The lace at her neckline and arms is antique. Her dress is finished with a vintage velvet ribbon tied in the front. Her bloomers are a stretch lace. Elinor wears a vintage flower wreath tied with vintage ribbon.
