My ornaments are a petite version of my large dolls. I begin with a face that I sculpt and then make a push mold. Hands and feet are done this way also. After the pieces are come out of the mold I add the rest of each clay piece individually. Each ornament gets baked in my home oven at 275 degrees. If the ornament is all clay I paint and add German glass glitter or other types of mediums. I also may do ornaments and figurines with fabric clothing and/or full heads of hair. Sweet little trims finish it off!

I love sculpting from live models. I am able to get a pretty good likeness if I am working full-size and the model is in front of me!

However, when working smaller (and/or from photos) it is not quite so easy. I cannot guarantee a perfect likeness, though will create an artist-inspired rendition in any size you desire.

Custom ornaments and small dolls are all made individually and sculpted entirely by me. I begin with a face that I have made from one of my own molds. I then sculpt the rest of the doll. (This is different than my one-of-a-kind dolls in which only one face is made.) A OOAK will have a higher price no matter the size. If I sculpt a likeness the price will reflect that also, and at this time I have limited face mold selections. All of my work is considered “artist interpretation or inspired.” When the details are complete I will give you a quote for the piece. The pricing will depend on the complexity of each piece. Depending on the project, payment will be requested when the doll is finished. If the project is considerably detailed, I will ask for a deposit that will apply to the finished price. Your satisfaction is guaranteed! I will send a photo when each piece is completed. I will need certain information from you before we begin. Here are a few things to consider: 1. Consider your budget. 2. Sculpted clothing is less labor-intensive than fabric clothing. 3. Hats will be easier for me to make than a full head of hair and ears! 4. Sculpted hands and feet will cost more than mittens and boots. The basic height of dolls and ornaments are about 5-7” depending on age of child. I don’t sculpt adults and try to keep my ages around 10 or less. I also don’t sculpt copyrighted pieces such as Disney or others.
